Simply, the best Dessert Riesling in America.
Balanced by the higher acidity McFadden Farm grapes are known for, this 10.2 residual sugar late harvest dessert Riesling somehow manages to pull off not being cloyingly sweet, but instead is an amazingly delicious wine of layered honey, apricot, and baked apple pie. Our first ever sweet wine, the vintage took these grapes and this wine straight to dessert. You will LOVE it.
Pairs great with Foie Gras, or Chicken in a Watermelon (recipe from August 2013 McFadden e-mail Newsletter).
Pretty floral/blossom notes mingle with apricots, honey, peach skin, pear, mango and apple rind. Nicely balanced, smooth and sweet, with a full mouth-feel and a nice lingering finish.
